Berry v Brenkley, do we have a winner?

Booth v Wilde in the Smug Stakes, close call.

In the last two years I've lost a bit of faith in the impartiality of the UK press. I can't read the regular columnists and reporters in the Guardian (I rely more on below the line commentators), and get a queasy feeling as I follow a link to the Telegraph, Mail, Independent etc. I'd say Cricinfo offers a better independent voice on English cricket now and I'm far more likely to read their articles.

agree with this.
It seems like the indian camp/BCCI are not happy with the way the english media/England players have responded with the verdict result.

Far too many newspapers are now more interested in click and Retweets instead of writing balanced and thought provoking articles.

I think it's more a case that the UK press prefers not to upset the ECB in order that it receives their off the record press briefings. It seems that during the Anderson case, the BCCI has been manipulating the press in a similar way, so I wouldn't be surprised if the same thing isn't happening in their press- though I'm happy to be corrected.

I'm familiar with the queasy feeling. I often get it when I follow any link to the Guardian.

From the point of view of publishing what will best further their aims, Cricinfo is no better, no worse and certainly no more independent than any other widely read source of information.

Yeah both media is bad as each other. Although it does make me laugh when the English press criticize the indian press for being biased and BCCI influenced when they pretty much do the same thing.

Although my original point is that Indian camp and BCCI are probably not happy with the way the English press have reported the verdict result.

Why is it that when cricinfo posts their switch hit programme, it takes about a week before you can listen to it?
