Yesterday some person tweeted (Not from CMS) , why would Sreesanth do it given that his IPL contract is so huge. I replied, "Greed, but obvious.

The logic of defending Sreesanth on basis of IPL contract was difficult to believe.

Two out of three fixers get suspended from job.

Air India suspends Ankeet Chavan, Ajit Chandila

"As soon as any of our staff is arrested by the police, they are deemed to be suspended with immediate effect," airline officials said.

Both were employed by Air India under sports quota. While Chandila represents Air India in various club and corporate tournaments in Delhi, Chavan represents Air India (Mumbai) in tournaments like Times Shield and Kanga League.

Good quote. Though of course most are not placed in the way of temptation.

I think Chavan is a Mumbai player, so you might have some contacts there, Adi?

Yes Arthur , he plays for Mumbai and Kanga league too. Took 9-23 something versus Punjab in Ranji last season.I don't know him.Now Ankeet getting caught in fixing makes Iqbal Abdullas chances brighter.Iqqi spent a lot of matches warming the bench for us.Both are left armers.

A lot of his Mumbai team mates play in college tournaments and single wicket tournaments in Mumbai though. His team mate Kaustubh Pawar won the last single wicket tournament in Mumbai .Don't know whether he played in it.

Ankeet Chavan tells police that 2 more players, both batters, were contacted by bookies, according to Times Now TV.

Easy to guess who are they. One foreignor. Hope they were just approached and did not agree :no

Even so, questions to answer over why it wasn't reported. Not sure why honest players would keep quiet as match fixing threatens the future of all players.

Apparently, the ICC Anti-Corruption unit had warned the BCCI of the probable fixing in IPL but the BCCI chose to ignore it.

Amit Singh, ex Rajasthan Royals player, is alleged to be the middleman between the bookies and the cricketers and has been suspended by the BCCI pending enquiry.

A party was arranged in Colombo by bookies to fix IPL.Call girls, drug dealers and bookies were present.Total count about 170 including all.
Police have apparently submitted the entire list to Anti Corruption unit.Must be the Indian Police ACU not ICC ACU. Not sure.

Maybe threats are given not to disclose that they were approached, if they denied to accept fixing money.

The two names, who are doing the rounds on a cricket forum (more likely a baseless allegation) are Rahane and Shah.

Can't believe people have stooped to the extent that they are bringing Rahane into all this. One of the nicer guys around in Indian cricket.

Whats being a nice guy got to do with anything ?? Crimes are often committed by "nice guys" and then you hear things like "he was the last guy I would of expected"
