All it would do would be to make sure clubs had plenty of evidence to back them up if they are to report anything. Which can be no bad thing if you ask me.
Anything can happen with a round ball.

Coz we're going up, and we'll win the cup, for Sussex by the Sea!

It would be sending out a message if the FA did punish Chelski if the allegations are proved false, however I have to agree that naff all will be done due to a lack of guts at the FA and the officials counting for nothing compared to players in footballs and fans eyes.

Can't see The FA sweep this under the carpet should Clattenburg be cleared, otherwise it would make a mockery on Respect the Referee campaign. Last thing needed is referee's going on strike.

By that logic, Anton Ferdinand should be prosecuted because court couldnt find enough proof against JT.

Not enough evidence against Clattenberg doesnt mean the evidence is false/fabricated.

the court didn't deny there was evidence that terry said the things he said tho , they couldn't prove the intent in order to satisfy the requirements for it to be a crime

how hard is that to understand

at the moment the FA cant even find anyone to confirm clattenberg even said what he was being accused of

huge difference

FA drop Clattenburg case

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20420934

What next? Hopefully Clattenburg sues whoever complained for slander whilst FA punish Chelsea for frivolous accusations.

I hope they throw the book at Chelsea, Ramires and Mikel for this....

Having read the article it seems the FA stopped shy of critcising Chelsea or the players involved, however the referees' union "prospect have requested a full apology and compensation for Clattenberg. The complaint should never have been made in the first place. Ramires apparently heard something from the ref which he believed racist, but when asking Mikel who was closer to the referee Mikel hadn't heard the alleged comment. Extremely tenious evidence and the alleged targeted player didn't even hear the alleged comment and the assistants who had microphones linked to the referee heard nothing and yet still this supposed "duty of care" led Chelsea FC to potentially ruin a referees' (one of the best in English football) career.

I agree racism is a very serious issue in all aspects of life and football is no different, however as suggested earlier at least have some sort of solid proof before wrecking someones livelyhood and any future career would be handy. Little will be done by the FA to Chelsea as a club in all likelyhood, worst scenario a public apology and some chumps change thrown in compensation with one of their players copping a possible fine or light ban. However this "crying wolf" will have heavily damaged their reputation off the field and any future claims of racism (real or not) from Chelsea employees will likely be regarded with copious amounts of skepticism and maybe not rushed into like they have been in this event.

An apology from the lawyer who put this "complaint" to the police and branded the FA "institutionally racist" would be nice too, if not likely to be forthcoming.

i hope i am wrong but i am sort of expecting some sort of "victimisation" reaction from him to mikel being charged by the FA following his institutional racism accusation of the FA last week

'Just a matter of days after fan Ashley Mills was stabbed in an anti-Semitic attack before Tottenham's game in Rome, West Ham supporters sang "Viva Lazio", "Can we stab you every week?" and hissed on several occasions, mocking the mass execution of Jews during the Second World War. While the hissing, shamefully, is nothing news Tottenham fans were also subjected to a chant of "Adolf Hitler, he's coming for you." '

I agree, but also and as much as I dont like Allardyce, he is the on-field manager, what exactly is he going to say ? questions like that shouldnt be directed at him.

Exactly...David Gold is Jewish, after all....
:hmmm
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20505152

'West Ham's Jewish co-chairman David Gold says the club will have a "zero tolerance" approach to any supporters found to have made anti-Semitic taunts. Two Hammers fans have accepted a police caution, and one of them has been given a lifetime ban from matches for gestures made at Tottenham on Sunday. The West Ham chief's great grandfather committed suicide after abusive taunts. Gold said: "We have a clear stance towards any kind of discriminatory behaviour - it will not be tolerated." West Ham's Israeli midfielder Yossi Benayoun said he was "embarrassed" by some of the chanting at the game. The Football Association has said it will hold an investigation after reports of anti-Semitic taunts during the 3-1 Premier League win for Tottenham, who have strong links with the Jewish community. Police said the two fans were arrested inside White Hart Lane for racially aggravated public order offences. It is understood they made Nazi-style salutes. A complaint about abusive chanting has been made to police, who will meet with the complainant before deciding whether to open a formal criminal investigation.'

I'm glad to see action has been taken, and IMHO that's what sets England apart from some other countries in Europe....
