And most of them came to improve their game, and to entertain rather than just be interested in picking up a fat cheque for a few weeks work.

He was going to be anyway as Durham had signed him for their T20 campaign. There are a lot of happy Durham fans at this news.

Yorkshire fans disappointed as the infamous song won't be sung on the Western Terrace :(

Nice memory of the brilliant England defeat to the WI in 1990.

"Bangladesh could be travelling to Ireland and Scotland at the end of July to play five ODIs after Cricket Ireland secured funding from the ICC's High Performance Program as well as ICC Europe.

The full itinerary was sent to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Thursday. Out of the five games, three would be played against Ireland and then an ODI each against Scotland and Netherlands. The ten-day trip to Ireland would also include a single warm-up game ahead of the three matches, and then Bangladesh would go to Scotland for four days on July 30 or 31 to play the remaining two games of the tour."

Have I missed all talk of Richardson getting the nod for the ICC over Collier, or was it non-existent?

When does the Indian cricket season run from:to?
If I was to travel to Northern India sometime between mid Jan to mid March, would I have any chance of being able to watch a game at Dharamshala?

This was the last game there, so maybe just about, but Indian fixture lists are not that consistent.

"Malaysia, South Africa and Zimbabwe are among the countries Pakistan are considering as options to host their limited-overs series against Australia in August. The series was set to be held in Sri Lanka, but SLC pulled out last week due to a clash in the series schedule with the first season of the Sri Lanka Premier League (SLPL). The PCB said that a final decision on the venue will be taken within a week."

I really hope they choose Malaysia. The Kinrara Academy Oval is a nice ground, has a good cricketing pitch and has very good drainage. Malaysia are on the rise (with 2 consecutive promotions in the WCL) and it would be good to bring international cricket to the country - to make people more aware of it and to get more youngsters involved.

What's this pointless story about Broad being one of the few people to do a 'treble' at Lords? What a pointless statistic this is, seeing that in order to take 10 wickets in a match, one must have taken 5 wickets in an innings, so it's not even a treble at all.

There is a board for fivefers, tenfers, and hundreds. Broad is on all three. That is the story really. If it's fatuous, then it's more the fault of Lord's.
