India the Test Future?

As a follower of India and England, which batting line-up would worry me the most 6-8 years down the line in terms of new additions? England for sure.

Well,I'd agree with that but that would depend on conditions IMO.Can anyone say conclusively atm that Tiwary,Rohit,Pujara,Rahane are better than Taylor,Stokes,Bairstow,etc in English conditions?
Its a bit too early to say IMO.Thats why I'd wait before passing judgements that India surely have better batting talent than England. They might but lets not use the words "for sure". Its still far too early.

I am happy to not wait as I am pretty sure that that is the way it will pan out.

Interestingly Shanky, can anyone conclusively say Taylor, Stokes, Vince, Bairstow etc. are better than Tiwary, Rohit, Pujara and Rahane? Maybe not, but it doesn't stop people saying it.

For my money,I'd still very much have Sachin in the side for that series.

This winter,I'd expect India to wallop us 3-0 or maybe even 4-0 in the test series.

I do not understand how anyone can pass such conclusive judgements atm when neither bunch of youngsters have played Test cricket.

If thats just based on FC records then thats a bit silly as they have played in extremely different conditions and against different set of bowlers.

When I mention English conditions I will do so, but I didn't specify therefore I was talking generally. I couldn't give what you are trying to make out from this. Soon no doubt we will be debating how I have said Sehwag is the next big thing.

My point is,
Both the sides have talented yougsters.Neither of whom have played Test cricket.They play FC cricket in completely different conditions and against completely different sets of bowlers.So they cant be compared at the moment.Ok,comparison is still fine but to pass conclusive judgements is premature IMO.It could well turn out that the Indian youngsters outperform England or for that matter any side in all conditions but its a bit too premature to say that it will DEFINITELY happen.Not for a second did I say that the English youngsters are better than the Indians.All I am saying that lets wait and watch before getting so judgemental.I am not necessarily talking about particular conditions here.

I was talking in terms of talent.Unlike you who said that the Indian youngsters would definitely end up with better careers.There is a difference there which I would have hoped you would understand.
