Martin Crowe once said that he thought Dravid was a better player than Tendulkar.
Not that I agree.

In the last 20 years the only one who comes close to SRT's level is Lara but on a overall basis SRT is the best batsman I have seen.

there have been prolonged periods when Dravid has been a better test batsman than Sachin, but overall Sachin comes out ahead

Berry must have been on Mars when SRT scored a 100 on a trampoline WACA wicket at the age of just 18 and that too with all his team-mates struggling. Maybe he has never seen him bat at others places when the bowling was good and SRT played great knocks like at Melbourne in 99/00 against McGrath and Warne, against Pollock, Donald and co. at CT in 96/97, his recent knocks in SA, his fine hundred in swinging conditions at Edgbaston in 96/97, his fantastic 100's against Warne in 98 and plenty more.

I won't say prolonged periods as Dravid was better than SRT between 2003-2005.

Ok, I would say that 3 years is prolonged, but I take the point that it's probably not multiple prolonged periods.

About one month? that can't be counted. Even between 2003 - 2005 there were a few times when SRT outscored Dravid but you can't count that as it was for a very short period.

As far as Berry is concerned he said that Anderson wont be effective in Australia and look what happened. The man speaks utter tripe at times.
Lets not take him too seriously.
I read the article which you guys are talking about and I thought it was a RANK DISGRACE.One of the worst I have ever read.
