wonder when ICC will take action on the overrates.
A very clear cut situation where a player had very publicly criticising a decision and deserving of a fine. The ICC have a history of coming down on players' comments on Twitter. Very silly from Broad who is supposed to be a senior figure in the England side.
As far as over rates go, the ICC need to come up with a transparent, real time formula for how many overs are due before the end of the day. Until they do that, then there isn't going to be a great deal of progress.

agree on that or they could just be more strict than allow teams off lightly on the matter.
might have to get calculators, loads of footage and a backlog of all the icc media press releases but I am pretty sure 3-5 yrs if you were 3-4 overs short you essentially were guaranteed a fine/ban was a period of about 18 months where loads of captain missed games for over rates or got fined, think bumble mentioned at the time overrates were the number 1 priority in the ICC umpires meetings.
it was near the time when Sri lanka captain changed captain so a player doesn't miss a final for a t20 world cup, believe in that competition most captain were under threat for a ban and in this series it self cook under a possible suspension which funny enough expires two week later and record gets wiped clean.
looked like they stopped doing it now with 6-7 overs being short being common, WI have been crazy slow in St lucia and both teams been slow all tour this summer.
shouldn't be too hard for ICC to come up with a transparent formula and their could even use the 30 mins as a leeway for DRS and other stoppages.

I think his problem is mental more than technical
Probably harder to work on then technique.
Yup
It's why Id be surprised if he ever had any success
Just like Rohit sharma he lacks the mental toughness to succeed in test match cricket
and weirdly they also suffer from a similar technical flaw which is quite ironic.
wonder if Vince will make his Technical fault worse by becoming a better one day player.
do agree with Sussex that is quite baffling how a small technical fault with these players cause huge issues yet a big technical fault in Kohli, Cook, Ballance etc doesn't effect them that much.
Even Dhawan a better Test player than Rohit Sharma and possibly Vince that saying something since I don't really rate Dhawan much.

Ballance is a certainty?

I think most of us would want our opening batsman to remain rather than exit.
