The trend cotinues. Pakistan cricket seeing new lows since last 4 years. The whole cricketing system is messed.

Robbo comes back to break the partnership. 7-26 in the match!

15-106 in the series! Average of 7.

Apparently that's the lowest average in a series for any England bowler with 10+ wickets.

Usually expect them to have a wily spinner who will do some damage.

Lead spinner Noman isn't touring. It's not a series for spinners, but a decent bowler might have done ok on the dry surfaces.

how come such a good bowler like Robinson has only play 23 test at the age of 32?

Trouble maker.

Acko's zero wickets stands out. Not having a good summer.

Are England ruthless enough for 3-0? And can they put some batting issues to bed?

Can we take anything from this series other than Pakistan are awful?

At least Saud showed up with the bat to provide some fight for Pakistan. A pity he didn't get a deserved century. But overall their batting just isn't good enough - and even the bowling , Abbas aside , is a bit ordinary.

I guess for England you can only beat the team you are playing so all good. And for a change the main bats (Root Brook and Duckett) did nothing so can be pleased the less established ones were able to take up the slack. I suppose the caveat might be : is this going to give us unrealistic assumptions about how good some of them are - only to be found out by tougher opposition ? Will have to wait and see...

The bowling does look pretty handy. No spin (a problem that is going to have to be addressed later) and no left arm variety but there is enough of a mix to be highly effective on the type of pitches we've seen lately. And you'd imagine will work in SA as well though they might find their opponent a lot less fragile. Touring in Asia will obviously need a rather different approach but with an eye to next home summer keeping these four fit and healthy should be a priority.

I don't think we have had any great revelations from this. They didn't actually miss Stokes thanks to two pitches that could have been designed to suit the pace men - particularly Robinson , so that neither an all rounder nor a spinner was needed. Though it was just a little concerning that they apparently felt they had to revert to bouncers with fielders on the fence to finish things off once the lateral movement had subsided : would hope they have better plans on the drawing board.

One more Test to go . Not really expecting Pakistan to suddenly become competitive but hopefully England don't mess about : just finish the job - and probably try to avoid getting caught on someone's phone camera looking a bit dazed outside a pub...
