Matchweek 7 - And a return to losing way, literally scratching at my head how badly we have gone off a cliff this season so far...A shocking 8 wicket defeat and in terms of time it was a shockingly short game

This is how we lined up

We won the toss and elected to bat on a hot sunny day, We made a steady start reaching 32 before losing the first wicket of Edmonson, in an attempt to see off the new ball, Sharma followed soon after dissapointngly, There were contribututions but only Wilson managed to stick around for any length of time, we kept losing quick wickets, in the end Wilson carried his bat finishing on 58 not out from 73 balls, but we were all out for 127 inside 32 overs...

In reply H.Rawlings took 2 wickets in the first over, and that's as good as it got with the oppo chasing it 2 wickets down inside 24 overs...shocking result shocking day

Na no grumblings we just don't know where it's all gone so wrong still plenty of games left to turn things around but it's horrendous at the moment we just don't score enough runs

Matchweek 8..... Our season goes from bad to worse (Personally form wise good week, but a horrendous defeat)

A crushing 71 run defeat, a lot of changes due to unavaliblity this is how we lined up

Danushkha was called up after taking 16 wickets in the last 3 weeks in the 2's, Robertson was essentially a fielder that's how short we were...Richmond and Rawlings up the order to try and plug gaps and i pushed back up to number 6

I lost the toss and the oppo elected to bat, And we got off to a great start, we reduced them to 22-3 very early...The rawlings brothers bowled beautifully...H. took 2-18 from opening 5 overs and F took 2-6 from 5 overs, including 3 maidens. Danushkha on his 1s debut didn't have too much luck bowling 7 overs for 36, but will have better days....Oppo rebuilt to 108-4. Myself and Kilbridge came on, and triggered the collapse bowling tidily and combining smart field placements with tight bowling and giving little away we reduced the oppo to 164 all out! Kilbridge finished with 2-56 from 16 overs, and i found form taking 4-43 from 9 overs, ball came out much better

The reply never got going... We were 15-4 very very quickly, Richmond fell for 1, Stevenson 11, Rawlings fell first ball, and Du Preez only made 9.... that soon became 35-5....only two people got into double figures and i top scored with 42 from 36 balls, including 8 fours, but i holed out to long off as i ran out of partners...as we fell to 93 all out Really tough trying times, just have to keep going and trust it will come together at some stage

Matchweek 9 - The halfway point of the season and frankly our worst result and performance of what has been a dire season so far

A 10 wicket defeat and frankly a devastating day which led to some tense words and moments in the changing room after the game

A few tweaks to the batting line up in an attempt to find some form in the batting line up and tried to find a way to end the woes

I won the toss and chose to bat on a decent batting track and a nice sunny day. It didn't start well we fell to 24-2 early doors with both openers back in the shed. A dodgy lbw decision accounting for Wilson. A 64 run partnership between Richmond and myself promoted to number 4 to take the responsiblity helped stabilise things, until Richmond smoked a cover drive into the hands of extra cover, and then the wheels fell off. I fell with the score on 97, however i did manage ro make a score i made 52 from 50 balls including 12 boundaries, gutted to get out much needed runs felt good and got out just as a platform was starting to be built. Du Preez made 42 including one of the biggest sixes i think ive ever seen in all cricket it was absolutely enormous, but again he fell just as he was in and making waves. The ever reliable Kilbridge chipped in with 23 not out but ran out of partners as we fell to 181 all out in the 47th over

In reply they absouletly destroyed us, not much I can say about it, they chased it 0 wickets down inside 32 overs! Showing how good a batting track it was. Harwood bowled well, 8 overs for 27 but didn't get a lot of support. I myself bowled 5 overs for 19, decent enough but no wickets which was dissapointing. Tried everything used 8 bowlers in an attempt to make something happen but we were throughly outclassed again!

Just insane how bad we have been this year compared to past years it's a real head scratched we've just been dreadful...personal runs mean very little when we aren't winning
