I'll be there! I was just starting to feel slightly uneasy after that morning session! Had visions of it going pear shaped but once Parky took that wicket before the new ball it was a really clinical performance. Potts superb and it ended rather quickly.
Delighted that Parkinson has proven me wrong- he's making vital contributions with the bat as well as the ball.
Olivier has a good record ao almost certainly just rusty - but I'd still leave him out if Stokes plays.

what did you think of the pitch?

I thought it was tricky to start with and we did very well to get untoward 400. Then it seemed to flatten out a little for the third innings. Probably a good pitch where the bowlers had the edge and batters had to work hard.
The new ball seemed to do a lot so I think our openers did very well in the first innings - neither made a big score but they set a platform.

Hopefully he will play. I assumed he'd retire from international cricket after the Ashes, would be a shame if he goes earlier. Although if he doesn't return as captain he needs to make runs for Durham to merit a recall.
And the hopeless schedule means this is the last Championship game for a long time.
He is/was planning to play in the One Day Cup competition.

we gave away 15 more extras than they did and it might have been the difference in a low scoring game on what appears to have been a tricky pitch

This has been the negative feature of a season with many positives. I've commented on it a few times

Heather Graham didn't bowl. Has she injured herself? Got a 4 ball blob too. Most of the wides (8) came from Emma Marlow, who I've never seen bowl before, so presumably had to fill in for Graham

Pitches seem a bit unpredictable this year. I think Campbell said they are trying to get more pace and bounce.
Will be interesting to see what the surface is like against Northants.

today's pitch was no.14, seemingly, and it was a used pitch, so I'm going to guess that it was the same pitch as the game v Derbys. 14 sounds about right to me
