He got Kane Williamson out in that game NZ won by 1 run a couple of years ago. Stokes threw him on during a huge partnership, and then when Williamson managed to edge a rank legside long hop to Foakes, Stokes took about 10 seconds of Harry convincing him to review it because he didn't believe he'd got him out.

He then kept him on, and he bowled an over of 6 wide long hops, and the camera kept cutting to Stokes who was almost in tears laughing in the field.

Not really sure what you called it. He has a round arm action like a spinner and bowls about the same pace, but kept banging half trackers into the pitch.

The umpires decided giving him the worst decision in the history of English first class cricket wasn't enough punishment, so decided to have another swipe. His reaction wasn't even bad, he just looked genuinely stunned by the decision, then tapped the bat on the pitch very tamely in frustration and walked off. I would guess that happens 5-10 times per round of games, literally nothing noteworthy at all about it.

A rain break followed immediately after, so my guess is the umpire got back to the dressing room, cracked on YT, seen he had just made the worst decision ever, and decided the best thing to do was make the narrative about a stroppy batter to cover it up.

For the record, here is the dismissal. The umpire gave him out caught behind.... the ball is literally nowhere near the bat. Simpson got a similar one to this at Surrey last week, and in memory you have to go back to the 1998 SA home series for me to remember a worse umpiring performance than what was dished out to both sides in the Yorkshire game.

The standards of umpiring this year have been a total shambles across the board, just countless terrible decisions. He missed that by more than a bat's width, how the hell has he been given out to that.
