I hope Jack White stays fit this season. He seems to break down a lot, but when he's fit and on form he's an excellent bowler. Bowled tremendously so far in this game, 3-49 doesn't really do him justice.

Seems to have started to rediscover some of his batting form. Playing for Bazza and the boys, he used to come in and try to slog everything, hes now gone back to playing properly and has made back to back good contributions.

Pitch continues to be hard to read in Leeds. New ball has done nothing at all laterally, but some evidence of variable bouncing creeping in as the day goes on. FHP just got one to died completely on Bean, he might have got an under edge on it (hard to tell) but its academic anyway as the low bounce also fooled Simpson who couldn't get down to catch it.

Whenever I watch Adam Lyth, I think his career is completely freaky. I dont get how bowlers havent worked him out.

The outside leg guard and the huge trigger movement forces bowlers to target his pads, but he absolutely brilliant in picking the ball of them, he wants you to fall for the trap. Bowlers assume as his weight comes to the offside, he must be too hard to bowl there, but thats the area. 4/5th stump outside off, hes absolutely rubbish when you put it there

I am patting myself on the back .... 1 ball after I post this, FHP puts it exactly where I told him to, and Lyth edges to 3rd slip.
