yes... a big year for Matty P. Feels like his England career is at a bit of a crossroads, so there's a lot riding on it

Yorks have switched to Spain for their pre-season. I don't know whether that means we are too or whether the 2 day warm up game has just been cancelled

as usual, no info appears to be forthcoming

perhaps Bostock is feeling perplexed by the situation again

except that I've noticed that Yorks are now pre-seasoning with Somerset, so perhaps we've decided to go to Seaton Carew for warm weather training

Campbell on the new season

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oDes9qumAJM

Staying put rather than scrabbling around trying to find a new warm weather camp and trying to extend the Sussex warm up into something longer, now that neither side can go to the UAE

Several players stuck in Aus and SA because they can't get flights home yet

Expecting Stokes to play in the first block of matches, eye permitting.

Bigging up Kasey Aldridge... bowls fast, can bat in the top 6 and is the 'second best fielder in the country behind Jacob Bethell. Sounds as though he's going to start to me

Planning to hit the new season hard.... "all guns blazing"

Bostock expects very little financial impact from the relegation as long as it doesn't last more than a year or so

It all sounds positive. Think Aldridge could be a star, stats are nothing special but I've heard people saying he has huge potential.

Good question. Was a really unusual debut season for him, I thought his strength was FF cricket but he struggled so much then excelled in the white ball games.

BBC have an article saying that Mark Wood’s knee is improving, but that he is beginning to think about life after cricket

If that’s the case he might have to face the prospect of getting out of bed every day :halo:

Heather Graham

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/art ... 8j2489dxjo

A decent player and hopefully a good signing for us in the Dribble, although she didn't tear up any roots for Notts last year. They batted her at 5, where she scored 186 runs at 23's SR 130 and used her as a 6th bowler for a couple of overs here and there. I have a feeling we'll bat her higher up the order and let her bowl her full complement, so hopefully she'll do well

Will we sign anyone for the tier one stuff?

so after saying this a week ago, Marcus North is pleased to announce that we will do the exact opposite of that and send an 8 man bowling squad on a 6 day camp to Desert Springs in Spain later this week, along with just about every other county. A week ago Campo questioned the point of sending bowlers somewhere warm to not bowl at any batsmen.

BR, MP, Aldridge, Rhodes, Bailey, Minto, Parky and Old George off to work on their tans, with the weather here set to turn warm anyway later this week. Presumably the batters will be working on their tans in the nets at CLS with nobody bowling to them. Dog ball throwing sticks, the order of the day

And they say we know *modded* all about getting ready for the new season :hmmm
