I just hope before the business end of the tournament whoever at the ECB Will Jacks has a file on mans up and takes it on the chin, because having to play him in every format when he's no good in any of them is becoming very annoying.

I've watched the highlights. Archer got run out ball watching and then Dawson was run out as England got sucked into trying to pinch an extra run from a mis-field. I never really played, but even I know not to run on a misfield

Why do England always lose to the West Indies?

weight of history and they simply don't handle pressure very well

they're fine when things are going their way, but a bit flaky otherwise

Brook said they were too careful against the spinners, and I only saw little bits of the game so he may be right, but I worry that in his eyes being less 'careful' means dancing down the pitch first ball to try and slog a spinner on a hat trick. I just don't trust them to find a sensible balance between timidity and stupidity.

let us not forget that England were one ball away from losing to Nepal and facing the very real prospect of going out of the comp at the earliest possible stage

Nepal did get to 120, but it did them no good at all. Took Italy less than 13 overs to knock them off

If Madsen plays in any decider for Italy then I can guarantee he'll send England home, whether that's by beating England or beating top of the table WI with England needing WI to win

It's been a pleasant surprise at this tournament that the associate sides have generally looked pretty decent
