it's just become the latest smartypants thing to do. They should just stop being so bloody stupid. As the set batter, most people would have backed Deol to help them add more than the measly 13 they got and they lost on the final ball, so being clever and on trend has probably cost them the game.... silly sods!

was it a good game?

It was very good day under the sun during the first match between MI and UP Warriors. Also saw most of the batting innings of DC against RCB. Got to see impressive individual performances and partnerships which defined the matches. Saw the end part of the RCB vs DC at home.

MI never looked like winning after the first 8 overs of batting innings chasing 189 to win. Credit to UP Warriors to the way they out-played MI. Don't know why Shabnim Ismail was not in playing 11. If not for an injury or being unwell, it seems like a bluunder.

Voll got her first outing for RCB along similar lines. She only played 3 matches last year, but she arrived this year after a pretty good WBBL, so I thought she'd make the starting XI more regularly this year. Maybe she will now after scoring 54. Useful bowling option too, if RCB choose to look
