I'm guessing we're playing on an outground because of the Headingley test match next week. Seems odd scheduling though because this fixture would have attracted a big crowd.

Not sure why Somerset held her back so long with the bat, because after a decent start, they seemed to become utterly becalmed until she added some late fireworks

Yes and with no real alarms. I was half expecting a clatter of wickets with the possibility of making a horlicks of it.

does Ackers still hold the T20 cup record for bowling figures, I wonder? I remember he took 7fer for Leics, I presume for not many runs. Hardly bowls white ball these days

I think he dies still have the record. Bowled one over this year for 16 runs! Was against Lancs when Lees inexplicably opened the bowling with him. We naturally ended up losing off the last ball so that was a particularly costly over.

4 wins represents our usual 14 game tally not 6 and the two defeats were narrow affairs, which is why our NRR looks pretty healthy atm

I have no doubt that will change soon enough. I'm going to the Yorks game on Friday with my grandson and son in law, so doubtless YJB, Dawid Malan and Adam Lyth (of course) will put us to the sword. Only one of our four wins have come at home..... we've never liked giving the punters any reason to flock to the ground in their thousands

although we did win this fixture last year, after looking like we were going to lose from pretty much the first over to the second from last. Was that the Sowter show? Wickets, catches and long range run outs..... jeez, we got away with one that day
