losing key wickets in the last overs before a new ball was something that we seemed to do quite a lot of last season and we don't appear to have got out of the habit

Yes, a glimmer of hope while Ackermann ( what a match!) and Clark were in but it was a pretty ordinary performance by the sounds of it. Not enough runs on the first innings and no real cutting edge to the attack. Hopefully just a blip.

Drissell over Parky was a big call, but I guess he earned his chance in pre-season.

new boys were a disappointment. Their signings promised to strengthen our occasionally flaky top order, but not in this game

Bedders will help with that and hopefully Doggett will put a bit of fire in the bowling belly.... as long as he doesn't get injured immediately

Confident about Gay,not so much about Rhodes.As to Doggett,appeared very enthusiastic in interview but seems that he's never played in England previously -hardly going to hit the ground running.
