Nothing to do with the fact that Liverpool's winning goal was from the most generous penalty ever (once again).
I do love how blatantly corrupt football has become. The referee/VAR decides that Diaz pushing over the defender wasn't a foul because there isn't much contact there, but then seconds later they give a penalty based on the presence of contact, not the extent. If you want to judge the momentary touching of Sa's fingertip on DIaz's shin is contact enough for a foul, then the elbow into the back bundling someone over a few seconds before is enough also.... I say contact. Diaz shoved his leg out looking for it, Sa missed and didn't touch him, Diaz then threw himself down into a theatrical dive at which point Sa's finger tip lightly brushed his leg on the way past.....
And then true to form, we get a former-Liverpool captain on comms gaslighting us in believing the rule says if the keeper misses the ball its a penalty. Apparently it doesnt matter if he touches the player anymore.
