Nothing to do with the fact that Liverpool's winning goal was from the most generous penalty ever (once again).

I do love how blatantly corrupt football has become. The referee/VAR decides that Diaz pushing over the defender wasn't a foul because there isn't much contact there, but then seconds later they give a penalty based on the presence of contact, not the extent. If you want to judge the momentary touching of Sa's fingertip on DIaz's shin is contact enough for a foul, then the elbow into the back bundling someone over a few seconds before is enough also.... I say contact. Diaz shoved his leg out looking for it, Sa missed and didn't touch him, Diaz then threw himself down into a theatrical dive at which point Sa's finger tip lightly brushed his leg on the way past.....

And then true to form, we get a former-Liverpool captain on comms gaslighting us in believing the rule says if the keeper misses the ball its a penalty. Apparently it doesnt matter if he touches the player anymore.

I mean, Arsenal had a defensive midfielder who's scored 25 goals in 11 seasons playing as a lone strike, with a 17 year old kid on one side, and Trossard clearly not fit after that whack at Leicester on the other.... I guess on paper it looks good, but the reality is Arsenal are totally screwed. After Trossard, they don't have a full adult attacker who will be available until next year....

The option on the bench was some 22 year old lad who got released from Accrington Stanley on his loan deal, because he didnt have a shot on target in 20 matches.

One or two defensive injuries and Arsenal could struggle to make Europe.... I can't see how they will score goals

crikey, Newcastle made hard work of that. Conceded early, then scored 4 goals in about 10 mins, but realistically could have been 5 or 6-1 up at HT, Then took a leaf out the Lionesses play book and went completely to sleep in the second half. Forest battered us in the second half scpring 2 goals but not finding the all important equaliser.

Newcastle up to 5th, but they'll get caned if they nod off against Liverpool on Wednesday evening

The story of Newcastle's season to date is losing badly to a team in the PL and then a few days later rolling the same team over in the League cup, so there's a very stupid part of my brain that might find a bit of encouragement in losing on Wed... they will anyway.... EH has yet to beat Liverpool as Newcastle manager, even when they've played them off the park

How City have fallen. This team look slow, have two weak full backs and a manager who looks like he wants to be somewhere else. Liverpool on the other hand have energy, confidence and Mo Salah.

Salah is a fabulous player in the form of his life. He's been producing the goods for years and this year looks set to be the best of the lot

imagine if he doesn't sign a new deal?
