Liverpool manage to come back for a draw in their top of the table clash with Forest. For a big chunk of the game, Forest were only 3 points off top spot

for a while last night Newcastle were down to 7th, but all the teams around them ended up with draws and Newcastle stay 5th. Chance to go to 4th tonight if they beat Wolves

It probably says something about my mentality, that when Newcastle go on a winning spree (8 games on the spin in all competitions) and are faced with another 3 very winnable games, I always assume that the law of averages will bite, rather than expect the run to continue.... hey ho!

Liverpool will be disappointed in the end, absolutely battered Forest towards the end. Sels made a few blinding saves to keep Forest in the game.

Watched the Chelsea game. Was almost the same as the Fulham one, bar the result. Chelsea should have been 3 up at half time but didn't take their chances. Second half Bournemouth were the better team and will be disappointed with the draw.

Amazing how many strikers at top clubs are like this. Jackson, Nunez, Havertz..... all good players until you put them in front of goal, and then they can't hit a barn door.

One player who can hit a barn door atm is Isak... 8 goals in 8 games, only the 4th player in the PL era to score in that many consecutive games

yes, a brace tonight. I think that takes him to 17 in the PL. I think I read that he has scored 12 PL goals since the beginning of December, but I might have made that up

A comfortable win tonight. A Newcastle fan commented on the BBC live feed that his first thought after Newcastle went 3-0 up was "38 points.... we're safe" and I kind of know where he's coming from

up to 4th and after looking defensively vulnerable (culminating in a 4-2 drubbing away to Brentford) suddenly only the top 3 teams have conceded fewer goals than Newcastle this season. If Pope is fit and I think he just about might be, he doesn't get into this side atm. Dubravka has been excellent since he came into the side and made a string of saves tonight, I believe
