India are in real danger here, facing the prospect of batting last needing a huge total to save a home series.

when was the last time India lost a series at home? Was it the Cook series?

Forget taking lead, instead India let NZ have a lead of 103 runs. NZ should wrap this on Day 3. Very one-sided test match.

Seeing as though Kane pads his numbers on roads vs crap teams, its no great loss. Averages mid-30s against anyone decent.

3 weeks ago, NZ had only ever won 2 tests in India in their history.
It looks like they will have doubled that by tomorrow night.

This is going to be most humiliating series loss for India at home.

India were runners up in last WTC and are currently ranked 2nd. However, this does not tells the whole story. India needs to produce a test batsman who are fit to be in category of Fab 4 (Sachin, Rahul, Sehwag and VVS). None of these batsmen can handle the spinners in tests like the Fab 4 used to. India since WTC started was runners up in last edition and 2nd ranked as of now in this editon, but it is not a true reflection of the batting quality in comparison. Wishing for even 1 batsman who can be comapred t Fab 4 seems to be a dream, let alone see 4 batsmen of Fab 4 class in same playing 11. Indian test batting is in RIP mode since the Fab4 retired.

India still in with an outside chance.

10-fer in the game- so far- for Santner. And for Washington Sundar (11). Not something that comes around that often. Plus a run out each.
