I think we should be OK regardless of the result here - none of the teams below can win and most if not all could well lose.

Warks have moved above us with their win over Kent, pushing us down to 6th. A win for Worcs pushes us even lower to 7th. We can stay 5th if we can find a way to salvage a draw here, but we've got our backs to the wall playing against 13 men and a draw depends on our 12th man turning up when he's supposed to

Super performance by Leach who may have made the difference. Seems as if various things went against us but we made too many mistakes- wrong team selection, careless dismissals and essentially outplayed. Think the writing was on the wall once we let Somerset get close to 500 in that first innings having been 260/5.

At one point it looked as though we might get away with it, but only thanks to an unexpectedly fine stand between Carse and Raine in our first innings.

Amusing comment by Campbell when he was asked about coming back out to play last night " I've got to be careful what I say but it was unacceptable. " He said the batters couldn't see the seam on the ball.
He did say though that we were outplayed in all departments.

For some reason I thought the T20 QF was a 7pm start At this rate it'll be finished by 7.30!
I expected a heavy defeat but 67-5 after 12 overs is even worse than I expected.

Excellent recovery from de Leede, Jones and Raine. 162 is about 62 more than it looked like being!

Surrey cruising despite an iffy start

3 of Surrey's 5 bowlers had economies of 6 or less... in one case a lot less

none of our bowlers went for less than 8 an over

I would have said that this is normal T20 Durham, but in normal T20 Durham world, none of the bowlers would have gone for less than 10
