Are either of these moves happening on loan for this season, or are they just happening ahead of the 2025 season?

Don't know about Jones but Gay is apparently staying with Northants- sitting out the RL50 games but available for their last batch of red ball games. They're second bottom in division two - no wins, 7 draws and 2 defeats- so I did wonder if there might be a loan deal but seemingly not.

According to the Lancs statement Jones is staying here until the end of the season.

Are you Nottinghamshire in disguise? Seriously though I rate Emilio and he will be missed. I think he will improve by batting with Lees and seeing how he goes about things. I do wonder if this is due to Sadler's magnificent man-management.

Don't know the situation with Sadler but going by social media comments he seems to be blamed for players leaving.
Apparently Warwickshire were interested in signing Gay - presumably to replace Will Rhodes who is also apparently joining Durham!

from the outside looking in, there seem to be many more unsettled players at Northants since the arrival of Sadler. I commented on this when Josh Cobb left. Now it may be that Sadler has merely upped what is expected from the playing staff, I wouldn't know, but they don't seem like a particularly happy unit these days

I also got Franklin vibes about some of the critical comments.

We've made 3 signings for the new tier 1 women's squad. Bess Heath an England wkb has just signed. Lizzie Scott (?) and Hollie Armitage signed earlier this year. England bowlers Lauren Filer and Mady Villiers are expected to follow suit, seemingly

Clearly our preparations are in full swing ahead of the opening season next year

Sam Conners signed on a two year deal after rejecting a contract extension at Derbyshire. Has played for the England Lions. Has a pretty ordinary record over the last couple of years but the word is he had a difficult relationship with Mickey Arthur so hopefully a change will do the trick.
Signing suggests one or more bowlers might be going - Glover top of the departee list?

Connors is a decent enough bowler, although I don't think last season was his best. Has he even played for Derbys much this year? Maybe we are hoping to move away from OS bowlers, because we've had terrible luck with them this year

Think he has played a handful of games this year but don't know if it's injury related or just not selected.
Most of the messages from Derby supporters on social media were complimentary so he sounds potentially good.
