It would be easy to think that Parky just bowled a load of loose full tosses, because all that was shown, so it's easy to forget that he bowled 26 overs for 44 runs.

Notts have made hard work of this pitch. From the little I've seen It still looks to be pretty flat. I think we've done well to take 16 wickets on it, frankly. 531-7 declared is a much better reflection of the pitch than 229 ao and 212-6. If Notts walk away with 10 points from this match they will only have deserved 2 of them

I agree. They have been outplayed and deserve to lose- if they escape it'll be down to a combination of the weather, Wagner's injury and the great leader's butterfingers in the slips.

We need to be on it this morning, none of this dropping slip catches nonsense. Lyndon James always scores runs against us (and did in the first innings), so get him early. Ball is only 7 overs old

Apart from the points and pushing the lower ranked teams further back down the table, I guess the hugely satisfying thing about this win, for everyone in general and for the coach in particular, is the way Dan Hogg stepped up in the second innings after we lost Wagner to injury. What is he.... 19?

tough chance down the leg side. He's clung on to a couple of those in this match, so I guess we can forgive him that one

It was a good catch from Borthwick, very low down. Hogg seemed to get really good carry and the commo suggested the slips were standing a bit closer yesterday, so maybe that contributed to the drops and they looked at that overnight.
