BBC headline about Wood 'golden spell' feels a bit of an overstatement, given he bowled out the WI tail. Still, it needed to be done.

Emphatic win for England which doesn't erase the winter setback. Square one for WI.

I see Wood continues his knack of propping up his average with a bunch of wickets in a dead rubber.

Overall a pretty poor series, don't think it gave us much of an idea about where England really are. The pundits were doing their best to talk up West Indies but really it was a thrashing. That win in Brisbane looks rather like a fluke.

England should now be 3rd in the WTC but remain in 6th thanks to points deductions for over rate last year. Frankly I'm surprised they didn't cop any deductions this series.

I get that this was a bit underwhelming given West Indies struggled to compete over five (or three !) days. But the way you lot are going on reminds me of Fred Trueman back in the day on BBC comms : whenever England demolished some visiting opponent he was like to grumble "means nothing much , that lot wouldn't get wickets in the Minor Counties " ... I mean I thought I was best equipped to be the Old Grumpy Bloke on here

You can only beat what is in front of you. Will take some joy from the results , while remaining aware there are more serious matters in the future...

He bowled exceptionally well in this series! Bowled really well with no reward ..harsh to criticise him in this series bowled well with immense pace looked threatening everytine he had ball in hand and finally got his rewards in the last test but easily deserved more in first 2 tests went past the edge a ridiculous number of times
