Very silly. So that's why there's been no sign of him lately!
Probably lucky it's only three months.

Very, very light punishment for 300 charges,.compared to other sports.

I'd be inclined to have an amnesty for everyone across the board. One bet = a year ban afterwards. One bet on a game you participate in, automatically considered march fixing and 5 years minimum.

Betting on outcomes you aren't involved in as an internationally contracted player with contacts is still dodgy. He's very lucky.

I'm assuming the investigation will have been going on for a while so maybe that is part of the reason he has been so out of sorts- think he has only taken one wicket all year!

he's been awful all year, but having this going on in the background is bound to affect his game, I suppose

Utterly stupid and very, very fortunate as SP says. It makes me wonder whether his 2 year central contract had any bearing on 13 of the 16 months sentence being suspended

He’s retaining his central contract according to the Times.

Corporal Jones did well for Scotland. That might have been a tricky DL run chase for England if the rain had stopped.

had they got back out, DLS would have set England a target of something stupid like 135 in 10 overs

109 was the target. I also thought 135 would have been fair as Scotland lost 0 wickets.
As you say if it was Durham....

If it was Durham the bookies could have paid out before the innings got underway!

Haydn Mustard called into the Under-19 squad, Rocky Flintoff is there too and the captain is Luc Benkenstein.

Seems as if Jamie Smith is going to get the England call ahead of Robinson. Both The Times and Telegraph with Foakes and Bairstow getting the axe.
