This tournament has gone as anticipated. Monsoon ended rarlier this year. Only some places are getting rains in October. Post monsoon, the wickets are fresh and not exposed to sun. The batsmen were bound to thrive and score runs, especially those who have played in India a lot at international level as well as being part of IPL. The big scores reflect the favotable macro conditions for scoring runs. Wickets were not used as prime domestic season had not kicked on as well. The spinners will certainly not get as much support as they would in months of March to May. Bowlers need to be at their best to pick wickets. Dont see much change due to October heat as this tournament end mid-November.

If your only gonna pick 5 bowlers then surely Ashwin plays over Kuldeep? Kuldeeps expensiveness costing India with having no decent part timer to call on....

Hope Talent survives the swing that Trent Bouly will get in early overs.

The one that comes in to right handed batsmen have hekped Boult pick wickets. Rohit and Virat have had trouble facing Boult on those tyoe of deliveries.

NZ didn't get what they wanted from those death overs. Mitchell a bit of a lone hand there.

274 seems a little inadequate. But take some early wickets and who knows ?
