we should also target Josh Cobb for the white ball stuff, because he's really ssiped off with Northants
Durhamfootman wrote:Since Northants pulled the rug out from underneath Cobb, he's gone from being their star T20 performer to a shadow of his former self, eventually dropping out of the side after a string of modest performances. Perhaps he's injured, I don't know, but his decline this year was entirely predictable, I think

sometimes clubs negotiate loan deals until the end of the season. I'm trying not to imagine having to face Chris Wright 3 times in the same CC season

It's a signing that gives us a lot more flexibility going forward and if we end up back in div 1, we're going to need that.
and we can do it with Bedders still on board. Div 1 cricket at a county noted for producing international players..... unless he's deeply unhappy, I can't see a reason why Bedders would want to leave.... I see no advantage in a move for him from a cricketing perspective. I watched almost all of the innings he played last week and it was high class, so I hope we move heaven and earth to keep him on board
There might be something else going on, of course
do we know how long his contract with us lasts?
