be interesting to see the squad. First 6 plus Raine, Patel and Miles. I don't know if de Loose is still with us for this so he might need to be replaced and we'll need another seamer from somewhere. Glover, perhaps

Yes, he wasn't playing for them tonight. Don't know if he's injured or dropped- don't think he has scored many runs this T20 season but that's probably because he has fallen out with the management. Ackermann an interesting target. think he still plays red ball cricket?

Since Northants pulled the rug out from underneath Cobb, he's gone from being their star T20 performer to a shadow of his former self, eventually dropping out of the side after a string of modest performances. Perhaps he's injured, I don't know, but his decline this year was entirely predictable, I think

Sounds as if he'll not be there much longer

Nixon sacked by Leicestershire and it seems that his dismissal is a reason the three players are leaving and apparently more are expected to leave.
Third in division 2 with their fortunes looking up at last but they appear to be self'destructing.
Chris Wright is off to Sussex.

are these end of season moves?

sometimes clubs negotiate loan deals until the end of the season. I'm trying not to imagine having to face Chris Wright 3 times in the same CC season

According to Claude Henderson they're staying until the end of the season.
Edit: Parkinson confirmed - 3 year deal starting next year.

Cricinfo article on the Parkinson signing suggests Ackermann is likely to sign too.
That would be an interesting signing , wonder what Bedingham's contract situation is? Wouldn't be a surprise to me if we have decided two bowlers are required in the overseas slots. Unless Ackermann is coming in primarily for white ball cricket....that's assuming he is coming but cricinfo seem to be pretty reliable.

We've always needed a good spinner and we've lost Potts to England so Parky frees up an OS slot with which we could replace him (or Carse) next year if we plan carefully. It's a signing that gives us a lot more flexibility going forward and if we end up back in div 1, we're going to need that.

and we can do it with Bedders still on board. Div 1 cricket at a county noted for producing international players..... unless he's deeply unhappy, I can't see a reason why Bedders would want to leave.... I see no advantage in a move for him from a cricketing perspective. I watched almost all of the innings he played last week and it was high class, so I hope we move heaven and earth to keep him on board

There might be something else going on, of course

do we know how long his contract with us lasts?

I don't understand - is Bedingham rumoured to be going? Hopefully not. Surely if Ackermann holds a UK passport we can just continue as we have this season, with Bedingham as one overseas player and a good (hopefully) bowler as the other?

Ackermann confirmed according to cricinfo - obviously can't get on to the Durham website to check!
