I understand players safety is paramount....it's just rubbish that the only way you can remove a player from the game with a dangerous injury is to sub him. I don't understand why it's different from a hamstring going....

Personally unless you allow subs generally, you lose a man....and anyone found to be playing someone after a head blow is fined/punished with the absolute maximum that rules allow

we rather threw that away, I think. another 20 or 30 runs to chase might have been too much for Sussex

Really need to change this ridiculous wide rule they brought in. Late in the game and very tense moments, the umpire gave a few deliveries as wide. One, Carter offer no shot too, and padded it away.... Sussex got 5 runs from it. How can something be wide if it hits the batter? Ok, I get the fact they want to stop people bowling 5 yards outside leg stump if time is running out and the batting team are near a target, but its ridicuous to assume Kuhnemann was deliberately bowling wide. Hes an orthodox left arm spinner turning it in.... also, since when does someone offering no shot get to run off the ball? Agree with the BBC Newcastle guy on comms.... should have been called deadballs.

In the UK, do they not show the matches live on Youtube? I assumed from last year it was something all counties were doing, I watched the live TV feed from Sussex's youtube channel, all the CC matches are shown for free there.

I know with the International matches, most boards now show the tests or ODIs on Youtube also, but those are limited to IP addresses in countries that they have no TV tights deal for (So for me its great, as Belgium isnt a cricket playing country, so I get 90% of tests for free directly from the cricket board website).....

But I thought with the CC it was just a new policy to encourage people to watch, and was available in the UK... maybe I am wrong. Can always get a VPN and set it to Belgium, and get all the Durham CC games for free if not.

The live feed is available on the county website, but Durham's website is probably the least user friendly in county cricket and half the time it doesn't work

Thanks for those suggestions - I'm a techno-muppet, so they'll be really useful. In the end I simply went onto the Sussex website, where their match centre was working perfectly!, but I'll bear those in mind for the next time I'm impotently raging against the Durham website.
