Scotland said they were there to surprise people. Having really struggled to even post 140 I didn't believe them. Batting must have been tricky because these are usually small grounds, I think....... and wasn't the IPL played on these same pitches? We might be talking about how poor the surfaces are in the coming 2 or 3 weeks

Having the press conference at the end next to the Scotland dressing room was the cherry on the top. While the BD captain was trying to answer questions, he kept being put off by the noise of the Scotland boys celebrating raucously.

He didnt look very happy.

Potential Dhoni retirement rumours scotched by KL Rahul who says he still hits the ball the farthest in the Indian camp

And

India, England, West Indies and Pakistan are the bookies favourites to be the Semi finalists in the World Cup. Do we agree?

West Indies is an odd one. They often do much better than the personnel at their disposal suggests they might, but it's a particularly poor looking squad and I'd be more inclined towards NZ than WI.

England should be right up there, but too many players haven't played recently, the capt is in the middle of a sustained run of poor form, they have key players missing and their latest gun player might have a finger injury, so perhaps not.

Mixed bag for England as they win one and lose one in their warm up games.

Aussies didn't look too good in the India warm up game. I really don't expect them to be a major factor , to be honest ; but with the explosive players they have at their disposal I also wouldn't rule them out head to head in any given contest.

Of course you could say the same for West Indies - and in truth in this brief format almost anyone can cause a shock on a day.

I am near to certain India will top their group ; and as it looks likely to be Scotland , Ireland or Namibia , Afghanistan , Pakistan and NZ with them I'd imagine one of the last two will fill the other spot.
The other group looks a lot more "loaded". England will probably appreciate a fairly "even" group ; as although they might have a 'mare at any time you'd think they are likely to be consistent enough to win most of their games and qualify - while the others might share results a bit : I could see Sri Lanka , Bangladesh , Australia , SA and West Indies all beating each other ... Any one of them could get to a semi.

(I have sort of "assumed" a Scotland win over Oman to arrive at those groupings. Hope I am not hexing the Highland Regiment !)
