perhaps he forgot to drink his coke before the match..... got to have the sugar rush... Pepe clearly drank too many

Belgium weren't great, in fairness, but I thought Lukaku was magnificent the way he held up the ball and took the heat off his defenders with his control and his running. He had to be strong tonight... hard to keep running with 3 Portugese defenders hanging onto any part of his body they could get a hold of for large parts of the game

The foul that crocked de Bruyne was a disgrace... When is football going to stamp down on those fouls where players don't want to get the ball, the intention is just to stop the counter and take the man out. He suceeded and has probably wrecked Belgium's chances in the tournament if de Bruyne has to drop out. Almost like some karma force field descended on the Belgium goal.

Obviously I'm a little biased but I'm happy the Belgians progressed. Think next weekend will get very messy if they beat the Italians.

Agreed. Wouldn't have been sorry to see a red card pulled out for that one...

Really hope de Bruyne and Hazard present fit for the next round. Fancy them to beat Italy if they aren't derailed by injuries.

I started to watch the second half of the Spain game. 3-1 up, Spain in control, Croatia all over the shop, game drifting, 10 mins to go, so I switched off and watched the local news. Flicked back...... extra time 3-3 and then Spain bang in 2 in 3 mins

The results in this tournament have been a bit unpredictable, at least compared to the team strengths on paper. The covid effect again? France may still win, but they haven't looked like the clear favourites they were made out to be.
