24 hours after a Fawad Alam contracted Covid and forced the postponement of the game, his team Islamabad ran out victors in a straight forward game against Quetta. Faheem Ashraf made life very difficult for the Quetta batsmen by being both dangerous and economical. He ended with figures of 3-11 from his 4 overs and Quetta ended on 156-7.
Islamabad had no issues chasing that down in 17 overs to go second in the table.
Sarfaraz Ahmed scored 54 runs in the Quetta innings taking him to 4th in the run-scoring rankings (behind RIzwan, Sharjeel Khan and Fakhar.)
Hasan Ali got 2 wickets for Islamabad which takes him to 4th in the wicket taking rankings (behind Mahmood, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Wahab Riaz)
"It has been said of the unseen army of the dead, on their everlasting march, that when they are passing a rural cricket ground the Englishman falls out of the ranks for a moment to look over the gate and smile."
