Totally agree with that selection but Wood's omission without explanation doesn't look good for him.

I'm tempted to think that we might drop 2 bowlers from that squad and use Harte as the 5th bowler, given that Clark scored runs. I'd be a brave call though

It's a shame he wasn't at the IPL. Martin Emmerson says their overseas player Mir Hamza isn't arriving until next month and I thought it was a stroke of luck but he must have it wrong because he's in their squad!

I see Emmerson ( in his match notes ) also wonders if Franklin has made so many immediate changes because he was shocked by the batting collapses. If that is the case he'll have been the only one who was even mildly surprised let alone shocked!

It is. Sounds as if he could well cause havoc.
I wonder what was being the Poynter axing? I don't think any of us would have had him in against Derbyshire but it seems strange how he was the first choice keeper for the first game and then booted out for the second. Not that I'm complaining!Although Sod's law will probably lead to Eckersley bagging a pair.
