Just as well I was at work and not following that game. Might have chewed through my umbrella.

From David Hopps ESPN report
"As Lyth raced around the outfield, pursued by exultant team-mates, his first-class tally of wickets now stretched to 29, the umpires conferred for a possible bump ball catch before ruling in Yorkshire's favour."
Without video evidence, which itself in these incidents is often inconclusive, the umpire's ruling is final. Amazing how these things go against the team who is at the bottom.

Yes, close calls almost always seem to go against the struggling team.

Astonishing score for Notts against Somerset.

Early wicket for Coad against Surrey who must be big favourites with Yorks England stars still away.

A wicket each for the spinners and Surrey three down. Obviously Sangakkara is the crucial batter, so need to get him early.

He's only on 89. That's early in the innings for him!

314 for Yorks to win. Too many for this group of batters. Openers need to do something as a pair, which rarely happens.

At Headingley half the ground closed and the other half about 25% capacity - lucky if there's 2000 present for a quarter -final cuptie. Should be worrying how they're going to sell out test matches on a regular basis to service that £40 million debt. A warning sign Yorkshire will no doubt ignore. Is Boycott's concern about the level of debt coming home to roost?
