The only problem I see with this approach is that the editing limits don't lend themselves to updating a comment on a ground, and it could get a bit tedious if bits and pieces of commentary are interspersed through a thread. On the other hand, it would be even more tedious to try to assemble a complete article on an individual ground before posting. As a compromise, what I propose to do is to have a basic template for a post on a ground, which goes like this:
Header: Name of ground and country in large bold
- Picture (image link or attachment, not too big).
Cricinfo link (URL) where available
Wikipedia link (where available)
Wikimapia link (generally available, but can be time-consuming if it isn't already marked)
Website link/s: where available.
On that basis, using the Quote feature would enable folk to add any personal commentary on any gound that was of interest. I will leave this here and proceed to my first example, namely the Sydney Cricket Ground.
