At this rate Everton might well catch Arsenal.

afaik there is a 2 year contract offer that he still hasn't signed but the consensus seems to be that he will

imo a one year contract would be a bad move if they miss the CL

they might struggle to get players to sign with no CL football and a manager that is probably not going to be there the following year and wondering if the new manager will want to keep them

Surely, Wenger leaving the club would be best for all parties. The team clearly need to move on while Wenger needs a new challenge.

oh definitely, for me he should have gone a couple of years ago

i was just saying that a one year contract makes no sense, if he is going to stay then sign for 2 years

maybe another nail in his coffin as Palace go 2-0 up

Blatant dive, with the right leg moving towards the keeper to look like he's been caught. Cheating, plain and simple.

Mind you Arsenal have been woeful. Ozil, Shaka, Mustafa, all garbage.

Three months ago Arsenal at least had the spirit to overturn a 3-0 deficit against us in the last 20 minutes.

That's pretty much gone and Wenger looks 80 years old stood on the touchline. Can't be doing his health much good.

Top 4 has surely now gone for Arsenal. And with, the last thread of justification for Wenger keeping his job.

But regardless of Wenger, the players deserve at least equal criticism if not more. They have been a total shambles for months now. With the Leicester players, it was pretty clear that they had just decided to stop playing for Ranieri - as highlighted by their resurgence since he left. That may be the same for the Arsenal players, but I'm far less certain. I'm inclined to say that it's more than their general style. I'm not sure Ozil would break a sweat for any manager. You could make a case for about 10 of them being sold this summer, whoever is in charge.

Got to feel for those Gunners supporters. Don't they have the highest season ticket costs in the UK? :laugh

i agree that the players can never be blameless but i would say Wenger has created an enviroment where just getting into the top 4 is seen as an achievement and that leads to complacency imo
