cant overturn that, there is a miniscule spike on the snicko and just as likely to be caused by the bat hitting the ground

absolutely terrible decision

i thought the 3rd umpire needed conclusive evidence to overturn and that was nowhere near conclusive

Stokes out, but a useful 48 run partnership with JB2.

400 suddenly feels out of reach.

Just finishing a John Wayne film off before I start on the game and following currently on cricinfo. Is there no hotspot?

nope just slo-mos and snicko

3rd umps seem to rely more on snicko than hotspot anyway

the bat had clearly hit the ground which would have caused the little blip on snicko

Thanks.

5-fer for Ashwin. Incredible record.

320-40 could still be a decent score.

That was out

Was an obvious deflection

The ball changed paths as it passed the bat

onfield umpire gave it not out and the 3rd umpire overturned it based on what he saw on snicko tho, not based on any deflection

It was out either way

Definitely hit it

sorry dont agree

the process is meant to be that the onfield decision stands unless there is conclusive evidence it was out and there was enough doubt there to mean it should have stayed with the original decision

From the action I've seen, England have done pretty well to make 300 in 100 overs.

Magic ball from Sir J.
