are you comparing the standard of county cricket to an under 15s game in india ?

Well if you think playing in india played no part in Hameed cricket development then I highly doubt playing few weeks of county cricket when being an international cricketer is career defining then.

where did i say it played no part ?

if all you can do to try and prove a point is lie about what someone has said then there really is no point discussing anything with you

A little friction between Bayliss and Cook?

http://www.espncricinfo.com/india-v-eng ... 70510.html

The old passive/aggressive argument. Arguably, players should be playing their own way within reason (though Stokes has changed with some success in this series). Are we to assume Duckett came and went in the side having been asked to change his game (much as Hales was).

we pay Bayliss to coach the team, part of that is setting the tone for how they play imo, if anything i would be more concerned that he has been taking a back seat up til now as imo thats not what he is getting paid to do

I hope England batters especially Cook and Haseeb listen to Trevor and try to score faster.

Well, Cook is the highest scoring opener of all time, so maybe, just maybe, he knows what he's doing.

The headline to that cricinfo article is "Bayliss ready to 'step up' in dressing room" which is where he should be doing his talking not in public. Duncan Fletcher new how to deal with the media, ignore them. Every time Bayliss opens his mouth it appears to be critical of his players, doing so in public is bad management. Except Stokes who he wants the ICC to give carte blanche to regarding his on field behavior.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

TBH all it probably means is that they making it more likely Cook will resign.
Vaughan article couple of days ago was quite good and do agree with it seems like Cook isn't the right captain for this side.
Cook isn't aggressive enough mentally, tactically or a cricketer that could get the best out of the group.
looks like the right time for Root to lead england at the moment.

He should be positive. As a Indian fan i want him that he gets tempted easily and increases probability of throwing his wicket. He has ability to bore Indian fans and Indian team with patience knocks, however now he should excite opponents with positive strokeplay and getting dismissed for lesser runs.

Cook is Englands top most ton scorer due to his patience, grit, stamina to play long innings. Such players are geting criticism which is supising to me. The core test batting lineup needs at least 3 such players considering the way remaining England players bat in tests.

Players should bat as per match situation. When a win is impossible, they should bat for draw. Offcourse full toss and half pitch balls from spinners have to be hit. But while drawing its okay to let some average balls go dot.

Being positive is fine in other match / scorecard situations.

Don't think there was any pressure on Rahul in tests matches atleast by fans or coaches to score fast.

Rahane is out with an injury (good news for FLers). Bhuvneshwar may replace Sami. Parthiv goes down to seven and Rahul returns.

Cricinfo has Finn or Broad to come in for Batty and Jennings for Haseeb.
