It's not a raging turner, let's be honest. There's been some shocking, poor batting.
haven't you spent most of the morning going on about how badly england bowled and there was no way that this was a 320-4 pitch yesterday but now its a pitch that isn't really turning yet and england have just batted poorly ?
you know bowlers can get wickets without the ball turning right rich.
don't think the pitch turning much yet and not really spinning consistently either but at the same time every ball doing something either one spins, one keep low and hint of reverse swing as well.
not a 320/4 pitch or 105/5 deck.
England have batted poorly on here at the moment they struggling to reach 200.
of course bowlers can get wickets without the ball turning, but that wasn't what you have been saying, you were saying the pitch wasn't flat, that is wasn't a good pitch to bat on and that india shouldn't have scored 320 runs on day one
scoring 320 runs in a day isn't that rare, especially when you have two high class batsmen making a big partnership, scoring rates will almost certainly increase when 2 guys make centuries and a run rate of 3.5 per over isn't anything remarkable, and it was just poor bowling from england that allowed them to do it
now you are saying that the pitch isn't turning, thats its not that bad to bat on and its just down to england batting poorly that we lost 5 wickets
india are a better team than us in these conditions but you are being a bit inconsistent in criticising england for bowling poorly in what you suggest was poor batting conditions yesterday and now criticising england for batting badly in what is apparently now a pitch with no turn
Think their a big difference in losing 5 wicket for 100 runs rich.
Not expecting england to score 400.
if anything still think 300 is a par total.
Batting isn't hard to score here but they still got challenges that can mean in a dismissal for the batsman especially if the bowlers are bowling well in the right areas.
Lets bring this to england home test did you think Australia batted well in Trent bridge and edgebaston or any instances of when teams collapse in a heap when the ball swinging or seaming a bit.
not sure losing 5 wicket is that great with some turn on offer for the bowler.
Fact is england bowled and batted poor so far.
Yesterday wasn't 320/4 pitch or a 455 first inning pitch.
350 looks like a good total with 400 a match winning total.
England are not even close to 200 yet when the ball not even turning much.
