Think Nasser chasing india money and starting to get into their good books again after the donkey comment.
Ather been taking digs at nasser all day about that.
Agree he been very pro india lately which is annoying to hear at times.

Kohli is the best all format cricketer to have played the game.

What he lacks in comparison to the historical best test players in the game, he more than makes up for being untouchable in his OD genius.

His T20I record is Bradman like in its comparison to his contemporaries, he is some distance the best ODI player ever for me, and soon his test average will be over 50.

I cant give the guy enough plaudits personally. He is truly one of the best players to have picked up a bat.

Nasser DRS talk been so annoying as well.
that pisses me off the most, I think india and the viewers know how DRS works.
Not often Nasser being a poor commentator.

I haven't been able to watch much of this today ; but from what I have seen it looks a pretty batsman-friendly pitch...though I am not sure it will stay that way. In any case I'd imagine India have scored around the top end of the expected scoring range ; and by only losing three wickets they've put themselves into a strong position.

Kohli and Pujara obviously played very well : I did see the Rashid drop (which I think he should have taken , to be honest) but otherwise , apart from a couple of close lbw reviews , the batsmen don't seem to have had much in the way of scares.

England look to be already consigned to a long defensive battle in this game ; they will hope the pitch remains slow as that may at least give batsmen a better chance of surviving when the advertised spin appears...

Alfie batting not been easy since tea.
Kohli not been struggling but been quiet, Rahane struggling badly.
Most people are already stating the pitch starting to go but agree with the statement that england must be hoping the slow nature of the pitch allows batsman to survive and score runs.

I didn't get back home until about over 75 but they seemed to be batting pretty comfortably since then.

Although as I type Jimmy gets Rahane , who isn't having a good series so far...

I think the decision to bring Anderson back and give Woakes a chance to refuel has been vindicated already ...

Though I'm not sure he will be as useful in batting for a draw later in the game :)

:?

Yeah, because he was injured, right? He wasnt just ducking the tour to BD..... like he said himself in September, before the ECB realised some players might not go and decided to play hard ball.

Anderson says he will be rested for the tour, Hales and Morgan pull out, Anderson is re-categorised as injured.

not really sure what that has to do with my post, even if he wasn't injured not having played for 2 months means he wouldn't be match fit

I'm a simple man sussex I judge a test cricketer by the way they play test cricket not T20, ODI etc. and this is test cricket I'm watching.

not sure they would use an nightwatchman for Ashwin, does he really need one when 2-3 yrs ago he was the nightwatchman.
