Probably the most sensible innings Kohli has ever played. Often accused of getting out to fancy shots and seemed more measured out there today after a string of poor performances

Look at the batting averages in all countries since the beginning of 2014. Pretty amazing.

No surprise that india and sri lanka are the bottom 2, both countries players have felt hurt by the years and decade of other countries fans/pundits and players playing down batting in the subcontinent that now most players don't even care about their averages at home literally the most important think is that the opposition can't score runs and the teams win games.

TBH it feels good now that fans like you arthur or pundits across the world at the moment are saying batting in india is tough and it is a challenge to score runs in india or subcontinent now.

TBH the games are so much better quality as well, just see the sellout in indore the higher ratings in the telly and you can tell that the right decision on the pitches is being made.

Although I do admit SA pitches last year went a bit too far, but please agree with me that the pitches in 2012/13 and the ones this series have been so much good for the cricket, a balance between bat and ball.
so what if spinners are taking wickets in the first innings.
I really hate elitism in cricket.

The wicket is good to bat on, but Kiwi batters have fielded in heat for almost one and a half day. Maybe they will have to field for remaining two seasions as well. Imo very unlikely that they will surpass our first innings total.

What was the talk of the cracks in the pitch and it becoming much tougher to bat on?

Seems these 2 have shown that its not actually a bad batting wicket.
