The required rate is quite high.

They'd have to take a few risks if they are to win this one.

Ramdin out for a run a ball 34...five down.

Another run-out! Carlos once again flatters to deceive.

Pollard has been poor yet again. Out for 22 off 29 balls.

Despite Pakistan's recent improvements that is the first time that they have won an ODI series in the UAE for three years.

Unsurprisingly, the two-day warm-up match ended in a draw....

All the top order batsmen, except Carter, made half-centuries, but a worry is the bowlers. Carter took four wickets, as a medium pace part-timer, while pacer Cummins took three, but the spinners were disappointing.

Good fightback from the Windies when Pakistan looked on for 350.

Question is whether West Indies can avoid racking up the dot balls, which has been their downfall during this series.

WI can't get that many. Wonder when they last chased 300? Maybe when Lara was playing.

WI have chased exactly 300 once, actually scored 300 chasing 298, never more.

Lara was playing.

Lewis's shaky innings comes to an end...bowled by Sohail for 22.

Brainless review by Kraigg...out for a pedestrian 32.
Bravo out for a snail-paced 17 from 40 balls....

Samuels run out for 13...four down.

Cummins gets the wicket of Hafeez for a duck...he's strengthening his claim for a place in the first Test.

Pakistan's second XI reach 241-5, while the only WI bowler making an impact was Bishoo, taking three wickets to date. There were half-centuries for Shan Masood, Ahmed Shehzad, and Iftikar Ahmed.

Bishoo took 5-107 and Holder three wickets, to dismiss the Pakistan second XI for 308. I think those two have just justified their starting places in the first Test.

Kraigg hit 55, and Lil Bravo 73 not out, to lead the tourists to a strong start, closing the second day on 174-2.

Lil Bravo out for 91...at least he's playing his way back into form ahead of the first Test.

Blackwood out cheaply for 13...has he lost his middle-order place to Shai Hope?
