Lancs don't score quick runs and there's no evidence of a Bunsen as yet but Lancs are playing 2 spinners.

Lancs not taking any chances with that declaration. I suppose a win isn't that much use to them, but hopefully Yorks will bat out the day and forget about the win.

Lancs have just scored 200+ at 5 an over and have set Yorks 360 at the same rate.

Surrey strolling to victory at Edgbaston against A Warwickshire team bereft of ideas and batting talent. This is the surrey that has shown of late it has a team to respect. The return from irnjury of Meaker has sparked this resurgence.
Warwickshire are an ageing team with an indeterminate future.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

I thought Warwickshire had a great chance of winning it this year. That probably jinxed them.

Terrific win for Hants over Notts a burst of wickets saw them home.

Forecast is reasonable.

Gale is out. Ballance is captain. Coad also misses out. Notts elected to bowl.

I presumed dropped, seeing as he's in the squad. But the website says a back injury.

Horrific start by Yorkshire, 6 down for 64 and not even at lunch.

Though 12 months Yorkshire were 54/5 against Durham, registered 160ish and still managed to win so there is hope.

Much the same all round the country; Durham 81 for 4, Hampshire 121 for 4, Lancs 105 for 5, Glamorgan 127 for 6, Gloucs 92 for 4 and Northants 127 for 4. The only side to have made a decent start is the Tigers at a 100 odd for 2!

Great fightback from the Yorkshire tail. Shame it's so frequently necessary. This time, Azeem and Hodd's first fifties of the season save the day. Brooks not far off his first fifty too.
