people been saying that for the last 2-3 test matches now.

I think most people would have sensibly gave him the summer to prove his worth, but its now one innings away from the end, and he hasnt took off yet.

I dont know what to think of him to be honest. He has things to learn, whether or not he can do it is another matter, but his problems are so obvious you cant help but think that (a) it should be easy to improve (b) yet if its so obvious, then why hasnt other coaches tried to put it right or have and not been successful. Maybe he just doesnt have the personality for the higher level of the game. Certainly has something about him mind.

true just pointing out that in the last 3-4 innings it always been reported that will be his last innings for while, although most of the time he got saved because england won.

Vince is an odd one, his reputation is bad on a fantastic Division 2 record and some promising international performances in Limited Overs cricket. His Division 1 record is very poor, suggesting that he does not have the skill set to survive against better bowlers, which has been played out in this series. I think he has the raw tools to do well, but appalling shot selection and temperament which he as shown few signs of improving. Today was his first innings when you could say he got a ball that a Test batsman shouldn't be harshly judged for getting out to, sadly he's had the rest of his innings getting out to balls that he shouldn't be.

Root is a real worry of late, despite giving it a lot of talk about mindset and shot selection changes after his double at OT, he's completely forgotten it all.

nah umpires been on his ear, but impossible to call him all the time since he literally pushes the line and bowls a lot of no ball.
Doubt umpires looking all the time at the line.

Falling like flies at the moment, have Bairstow and Moeen another big partnership in them.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

Looking a horrible decision to bat first at the moment.

they be hoping it like saha and Ashwin partnership.
but at the moment the pitch look ok for batting but looks like england are 110/5 because of Wahab spell.
Although the first hour the ball was doing something because of the grass but not sure that will be much help when england bowl.

Think England need 300 to get a competitive score and that is long way away right now.
