Alviro Patterson wrote:An exciting days cricket at Headingley today - missed Warwickshire's 1st 4 wickets but saw Sam Hain play a quality innings of 48 on a difficult track, future England material is this lad. Barker and Clarke resorted to playing reverse sweeps in combatting the spin of Rashid, but Bresnan took a stunning low handed one handed catch in the slips.
Pitch was doing a lot, uneven bounce in Warwickshire's innings but the roller took some of the sting out when Yorkshire came to bat. Lyth and Lees played paitently and punished bad balls for 4, but Lyth tried to up the ante by slashing at a ball to slip when it wasn't needed and Travis did the same. Gale got out to a good ball that spun, Leaning did his part in preventing a proper batting collapse but tried to drive at a ball with no real footwork and got bowled out. Patterson out LBW 1st ball though tried to steer it leg side. Lees survived a couple of chances, including a regulation catch put down in the slips but stayed there.

Hain is having a terrible season, and to be honest was nought special last year either if memory serves. A heck of a lot of hype for very little substance.
