Really poor game from us, let Yorkshire off the hook then batted badly twice.

No fc cricket for three weeks... Shame.

Yorkshire return against Durham.

Confident our lads will stand up and be counted against the Yorkies. Certainly no fear on the batting front.
Gale has been honest enough to admit that Yorkshires batting has been below par this season-question is whether it's a temporary or more permanent blip.

Different ball game if Bairstow plays but he'll surely be in the ODI squad. Bresnan's had his day :hide

Got a feeling Bairstow will be back in the ODI set up (someone will replace Taylor in the squads). Rashid will be in the limited overs sides. Willey is injured. Good to get Bres back though.

Ben Coad makes his Yorks fc debut against Durham today, and I think it's a Yorks fc debut for Josh Shaw too. Good luck to them. Shaw has a wicket already.

Patterson gets Stoneman, Yorks probably on top now, give or take seamer friendly conditions.

Conditions should be good but it's hard to tell. I missed the first two wickets but Jennings was bowled offering no shot ans Borthwick ram himself out. Poor shot by Stoneman to swipe at the ball especially so soon after lunch. Yorkshire bowling well though and fielding with intensity so the pressure could be why the mistakes came.

When I saw Poysden the leg spinner in the Warwickshire squad I thought he would play but they've decided to stick with pace. Surprised that they didn't go with the extra spin option at Old Trafford which has a reputation to take spin. Lancs have the extra spinner in the team which is quite telling.
Work expands to fill the time available, so why do today what can be put off until tomorrow.

4-fer for Patterson, Yorks leading wicket taker this season. All pace attack working so far (I presume Williamson and Lyth will bowl a few in the second innings).

Bradford born Usman Arshad has a couple of fifties and a 25 fc average, so no mug with the bat, batting at eight for Durham.

But goes to Bresnan. Yorkshire should be batting this evening now.
