The obvious two are leading the way, which means we'll have three Indians and two West Indians in the top 5. No Aussies as yet, well until the keeper has been selected. I'm guessing Warne will get in, plus McGrath at a push?

Looks like a pretty credible top five.

Only Murali could possibly stop Warne being in the side. Unless Shane's drugs ban and brush with match fixing has tarnished his reputation more than I think it has. Kumble will get one or two votes.

Hard to predict if McGrath will make it. His real advantage is that everyone will have seen him, as there are half a dozen with similarly great records. Steyn might pick up a few votes for more recent bowlers, and Lillee is a strong Aussie alternative.

McGrath's biggest disadvantage is that he has always been a pretty unlikeable character

so unlikeable that even the tragic death of his wife didn't improve his position in the likability charts
