Sri Lanka have completely lost the plot.

This has been really poor batting from SL.

They just needed to bat NZ out of this, instead at 0 for 70 they have some how managed to loose 8 wickets for 60 runs.

The pitch has no demons in it. Its the 3rd day, whats the hurry been?

Really tough to win tests overseas if you bat like this.

Now wicket number 9, and the innings is only 36 overs old

It may be the fourth innings but it's still a third day pitch. If NZ bat properly (and that's a big if) then it should be straightforward.

I'm not sure that scenario usually works.If the game is nearly over on day three, there's usually a reason.

Utterly useless batting is the reason. They're batting as if it's a T20.
