Why am i not surprised.

Fifa cant let him stay. As has been said i wonder if his position stops him from being prosecuted?

I would also think this news means Platini is now out of the race for the next president.

He has never answered why he voted for Qatar, never explained his meeting with the Qatar Prime Minister 10 days before the 2022 vote. And is yet to explain how his son after this meeting became the boss of Burrda the Qatari state owned sports kit company.

On top of this he will have trouble explaining how it took him nine years to get paid 1 million euros for work he did in 1999-2002. No bungs here........

Hopefully the sponsors now will be convinced that all is not well and that the investigations are not part of some smear campaign.

Surely the 2 million dollar cheque that Blatter wrote (allegedly) for Platini is a little on the dodgy side - making Platini's appointment doubtful?

It's the only way forward. Every single member of FIFA is tainted with this scandal. Get rid of all of them and start again
